About
Digital-Dish.com is the brain child of Kimberly Rose aka Kimi via IMVU. Established in late June 2009, it has quickly become the place for the best gossip and more importantly – up to date and accurate news about our virtual world.
About the Author:

Kimberly Rose - Webmistress
I’m a real person – just like you. I have my good days, my bad days and those absolute terrible days where I probably shouldn’t be at my computer writing this column. I’m a very open writer who suffers from foot in mouth disease rather frequently. I like to tell it how I see it and how it is. It’s a very brash writing style and some find it rather crude and offensive [it's okay... I don't like you either].
Personally… My name is Kimberly Rose, but most people [okay everyone who doesn't have a death wish] calls me Kimi. I’m 24 years old and I blow my candles out on September 14th. I was born a southerner, raised a yankee and now I’m some weird mixture. I refer to myself as a yankee transplant in a southern world.
Most importantly – I’m a mommy. As many members of the IMVU community know, my daughter Hailey is 2 1/2 and was diagnosed with Autism in February 2009. Hailey is the coolest toddler I know [and I'm pretty sure even if I knew every toddler in the world, she'd still be the coolest]. She’s well behaved, loving and her smile lights up rooms. Hailey inspires me every day. She never ceases to amaze me. Despite all she has been through, she is still this bright and truly unique little girl with an amazing taste for life.
I’m married to an incredible man named Charlie. We got married on July 8, 2009 [07/08/09 Yeah we're clever] under the big tree in our backyard, surrounded by 50 of our closest friends and family while Hailey danced at the altar…. in the rain. It’s a day I will always cherish and never forget. It was our perfectly imperfect wedding where I got to say “I do.. forever” to my soul mate.
We have 3 animals. Cinders, our male Bombay feline who is 3 years old. He rules the house and unfortunately, he knows it. Flora is my sweet baby girl [and affectionately referred to as my red-headed step child]. She’s a 1 1/2 year old miniature dachshund and 9 pounds of love and energy. Our newest addition is our kitty Patches who came to us one very late evening with no collar and looking for a family to love. I’ll post more information about our baby when we get it.
IMVU Qualifications… I found IMVU in November 2007 by clicking on one of those silly MySpace ads. I became quickly interested in the Daily Outfit Challenge. This lead to me creating some of my first products when I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. I’ve since expanded my catalog to thousands of products from hair to clothes, eyes and skins for females [and even a little something for males too from time to time]. I now run two pro-level developing accounts – Kimi and Escape.
In addition to being apart of the developing community, I served a year on the originally named Content Creator Council [otherwise known as C3]. I’m a [sadly rare these days] contributor at Developer University and addicted to posting in the forums anywhere I possibly can. I’m the woman behind the since canceled ‘The Aftermath’ outfit contest and the still running Hottest Developers developer listing.
About Digital Dish:
The idea behind this website is simple – deliver news about IMVU in an entertaining fashion. Okay, I admit it – it’s one part Perez Hilton to 10 parts real and useful information. Would it really be news about our virtual world without a little drama every now and again? Of course not!
I started this blog because it combines two of my passions – blogging and IMVU. So I figured, who better to write it? It’s taken off in ways I never imagined. It’s now read by hundreds on a daily basis and the hype has yet to stop spreading. Imagine that… hundreds of people reading what I have to say. Neat.
I try to cover as many topics as I can. Sometimes life outside of IMVU gets in the way, but I do my best to stay on top of the really important news. I download and report on all client changes [including helpful pictures]. I also try to include topics that you, the reader find to be relevant! That’s right… you can actually e-mail me in regards to a story you’d like me to publish and we can work together to get it on Digital Dish!
I’m currently the only writer, but plan to expand and include articles written by other members of the community soon!
